Domain Forwarding…..Flipping your Web Traffic!

You can forward your parked domain to an existing Website. When visitors go to the domain you forwarded, they automatically get redirected  to the URL you specified. Domain forwarding lets you point your domain name to another home page or web site location.

You can effectively make use of this concept to transform your domain into an alias, generally to shorten the URL so that your potential customers find it easy to remember. When the user types the domain address in the web browser, he/she gets automatically redirected to the forwarded site.

Domain forwarding, very similar to URL redirection, can make the web experience of your customers delightful. It is specially useful to redirect those traffic that mistype your domain name. For instance somebody typing exampel.com can be rightly redirected to example.com

Domain Parking @ LimeDomains

Domain parking refers to a process when you buy a domain name but don’t enter the domain name server (DNS) of your web hosting provider. The potential reasons for this could be that you wish to reserve your domain for future development or your site is under construction.

Domain parking can be broadly classified into two categories: (a) monetized and (b) non-monetized. Under monetized domain parking, advertisements or affiliate links are displayed to the visitors and the domain owner earns money. Under non-monetized domain parking, a ‘Coming Soon’ or an ‘Under Construction’ message on the landing page may or may not be displayed by your domain registrar.

We at LimeDomains, park your domain by default on our server and provide a placeholder website for your domain until you set up your own hosting account or sell that domain to a third party. When anyone types your domain name into a web browser, he/she is  directed to a default page provided by us.

Once your domain gets parked, a temporary Web page is displayed each time any netizen types in your domain name in his/her browser. It’s only the domains that are registered through LimeDomains that are parked by default until you change the configuration of the same.
