A multi-lingual, multi-user, multi-blog publishing system—B2evolution—supports community-wide spam filters, in which many b2evolution sites aggregate and ‘tag’ spammer IPs into a central blacklist for the benefit of the larger community. This open source application, written in PHP and supported by MySQL database, offers fully exposed API for developers to integrate new functionality along with an extensive library of existing plug-ins.
After purchasing a domain name and a web hosting plan at LimeDomains, you need to install this application. The steps to setup your blog on our platform using B2evolution are enumerated as below:
Step 1: Log in to your LimeDomains account. Go to Control Panel -> Create Website.
Step 2: Enter the details related to your domain name and hosting plan and proceed. A message that your website has been successfully created appears.
Step 3: Click on ‘Applications’ tab under the ‘Hosting Management’ section of Control Panel in your account.
Step 4: Select ‘B2evolution’ and click on the link of ‘Install’.
Step 5: Click on ‘Installation URL’ tab on the ‘Application Management’ page after installation.
Step 6: Click on ‘The installer would be either here’.
Step 7: Enter the database details .After that enter the Base URL and the admin email. Click on ‘Update config file’.
Step 8: Select ‘New Install’ and click on ‘Go’.
Step 9: Note down the username and password and login into the site with the required details.
Congratulations! Your B2evolution is successfully setup on LimeDomains now.
